Established in 1997, originally known as J4Fun on a free host, is built for you, our visitors, as a "home base" from which you can start your Internet sessions. We became PrimeTap.com in 1999 and have grown exponentially since.

Now, instead of going to one site to find news, another to find a web search and yet another to find. . . (does this sound familiar?) you can simply come to PrimeTap where a team of librarians (really!) have put the web at your fingertips. We feature resources to help you make your Internet session complete.

is a unique and one of the most powerful anywhere; feel free to compare! Ours features a search function that queries not only our own engine but several search engines at once to give you the best results. It will also translate websites into several languages.

Our Enhanced Directory

is one of the biggest and best on the web. We use the Open Directory Project as a key resource just as Lycos, AltaVista, AOL and Netscape just to name a few. We also feature PrimeTap Picks which are sites we have reviewed and found to be useful, informative or just entertaining.

PrimeTap Magazine

is a major portion of our site . This monthly, online, interactive publication contains helpful news, tools and information. Entertaining content such as comics and folk tales round out the magazine. We not only bring you entertaining articles, the latest news, weather and sports, but we also provide handy tools that do things from finding general information to helping you to pick the right car. Lots of stuff to tinker with that is both fun and useful.

"PrimeTap Pick"

is a term used throughout the site to let visitors know that we have looked at a particular item or service and believe it to be one of the best of its kind. You will find we have done this throughout our mall as well.

Research Central

is a growing collection of resources to help you find most anything. Whether you are doing research for a paper or just curious about something, we have tools to help. We have access to libraries, full text articles and books, and even stock quotes and tickers.

The Arcade

Need a little fun after all the research? We have that covered too. Just visit the Arcade for thousands of games, which you can play right on the site or download free to try. Would you rather chat or write some e-mail?

Free Stuff & Services

We have one of the largest directories of freeware and share ware on the we called The Share Files. We also offer free chat in the PrimeTap Chatboxes and a free e-mail account in the PrimeTap Post Office. If you like the sound of FREE, we also offer free digital post cards, free classified ads and a whole section simply called "Free Stuff!"
